Who we are
This website is operated by Brilliantio Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, which is the data controller for personal information collected through it. Wordsby Davis is the pen name under which Brilliantio Ltd publishes large-print word search books. For any question about this policy, contact hello@brilliantio.com.
The mailing list, only if you sign up
If you ask for the free bonus pack, we collect your email address, the date you signed up and a note of which page you signed up on. We use it to send you the bonus pack and occasional news about new Wordsby Davis books. The legal basis is your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).
You can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email. We then stop sending you mail and keep a record of the unsubscribed address for up to 12 months so it is not added again by mistake, after which we delete it.
The list is run for us by Encharge, acting as our data processor.
Visiting the site
This site has no accounts, analytics or advertising trackers and sets no cookies. When you visit, Vercel, our hosting provider, processes technical information such as your IP address, browser details, the pages requested and the time of each request, so that it can deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare runs the site's domain name service. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
What we do not do
- We do not sell or share your personal information for anyone else's marketing.
- We do not buy mailing lists or send unsolicited email.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, transfers are protected by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, erase or restrict the personal information we hold about you, to receive it in a portable form, or to object to its use, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@brilliantio.com and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or to the regulator where you live.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top. If you are subscribed and the change is significant, we will tell you by email.
